NAHC Throws First Pitch!

On July 17, our member health center, Native American Health Center (NAHC) attended the Oakland A’s baseball game in their own unique fashion! It was Native American Heritage Night and as the Nonprofit Partner of the Game, their very own Interim CEO, Natalie Aguilera, had the thrill of throwing out the first pitch, marking a proud moment for the health center.

Adding to the excitement of the day, NAHC youth and families got up close and personal with the players during batting practice. One lucky youth even got a picture and an autographed baseball from his hero, Tony Kemp!

Additionaly, NAHC’s lucky charm, Buffy joined staff at the game – in their jersey of course – adding a dash of fun at the outreach table. Photo ops with Buffy were a hit among all the attendees who stopped by.

NAHC’s dedication and work in the community were also highlighted in a 30-second sizzle reel that played on the big screens before the National Anthem. It was a beautiful night that amplified the visibility of NAHC and drew together communities across the Bay Area, making it a grand slam for raising awareness!
