Axis Finds Success with Employee Anniversary Recognition Program
Blog Contribution: Axis Community Health
Axis recognizes that employee recognition is an essential part of creating a positive work culture and promoting employee satisfaction and retention. When Liz Perez-Howe was appointed as Axis’s CEO, she expressed a need to focus on employee retention, especially during a time when staff shortages are so widespread in the healthcare industry. “Community health centers feel the brunt of these shortages as we compete for staff with larger health systems”, she explains, “I want to ensure that all Axis employees know how appreciated their work is because they all make a positive impact on our patients’ lives!”
Axis recently launched an Anniversary Recognition Award program funded by a grant received through Alameda Health Consortium. In this program, Axis staff receive gifts based on set anniversary milestones through a company called Snappy. Within Snappy, staff can choose a gift from a virtual shop that is directly mailed to them. In addition to the gift shop, Axis staff receive anniversary recognition pins, may become eligible for additional PTO, and more! So far, Axis has received a lot of positive feedback from this program. Here is some of their feedback:
Thank you so much for the great gift. I’m thankful to be part of the Axis team!
I so much appreciate the acknowledgement and support you give in the work that we do. I feel fortunate to be here.
Thank you for the anniversary gift! I have been at Axis for over 7 years now and I enjoy working with the medical staff serving the Tri-Valley Community.
