Federal Advocacy Efforts

Annual Federal Advocacy Efforts in Washington, D.C.
Through organized efforts with our federal partner, the National Association of Community Health Centers and our member health centers, Alameda Health Consortium participates in the annual Washington D.C. Hill Day visits with our members of congress as part of the larger Policy & Issues Forum. Every winter, we are joined by healthcare advocates from across the country to share our stories and focus on challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
We used this opportunity to thank the offices of Alameda County Congressional Representatives Lateefah Simon (D-12), Eric Swalwell (D-14), and Ro Khanna (D-17) for their continued support of the work of our community health centers as well as to bring attention to several vital and timely issues that impact the health and wellbeing of the communities we collectively serve in Alameda County.

Civic Participation

Voter Education, Outreach, and Engagement
Alameda Health Consortium plays a vital role in voter education and providing nonpartisan information that helps patients and community members alike participate confidently in elections.
By working collaboratively with our member health centers and other community partners, we provide clear explanations of voting rights, deadlines, and procedures, offering tools to register or update voter information, and hosting neutral forums and informational events. While we, as a 501(c)(3), cannot support or oppose any candidate or party, we can empower voters by removing barriers to participation, promoting civic engagement, and ensuring that every eligible person has access to trustworthy, unbiased election information.
