Health center providers, patients and staff joined Alameda Health Consortium to advocate for laws that matter most to us. In an energizing Day at the Capitol, our visits with lawmakers benefited from fantastic advocates from Community Health Center Network’s Care Neighborhood and Axis Community Health, Asian Health Services, La Clínica de La Raza, LifeLong Medical Care, Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center, Inc. and West Oakland Health. We thank the staff and legislators who took time to discuss ensuring and expanding access to primary care, mental health services and care coordination to benefit the patients in our communities, including Assemblymember Rob Bonta, Assemblymember Kansen Chu, Assemblywoman Catharine Baker, Assemblymember Bill Quirk, Assemblymember Tony Thurmond, Senator Nancy Skinner, Senator Bob Wieckowski, Senator Steve Glazer.
