DESCRIPTION:Food Insecurity: What Providers Should Know\nContinuing Medical Education Series\nDesignated for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)TM\nGood nutrition is fundamental for staying healthy and assisting the body to heal when ill. Food Insecurity- having limited access to healthy food and/or an inability to afford food can impact the prevention and management of disease and health. Many providers are unaware of the epidemiology linking food insecurity and health outcomes and strategies to address this disparity in the clinical environment.
